How to Correct
the system's date settings
Follow the directions for the operating
system being used:
Windows 95/98/Me/2000:
1. Click [Start], point to [Settings], and
click [Control Panel].
2. Double-click [Regional Settings] ([Regional
Options] in Windows 2000).
3. Select the [Date] tab.
4. Under [Short date], select [MM/dd/yyyy]
from the [Short date style] ([Short date format]
in Windows 2000) drop-down list.
5. Click [Apply], and then click [OK].
Windows XP:
1. Click [Start], and then click [Control
Panel].
2. If using Category View, click [Date, Time,
Language, and Regional Options].
3. Click (if using Category View) or double-click
(if using Classic View) [Regional and Language
Options].
4. Click the [Customize] button.
5. Select the [Date] tab.
6. Under [Short date], select [MM/dd/yyyy]
from the [Short date format] drop-down list.
7. Click [Apply], and then click [OK].
8. Click [Apply], and then click [OK] again.
